Sentosa Island


The grand resort for full-recreation activities consisted of swimming lagoons, wax museums, butterfly parks, two beaches, several golf courses, musical fountains, and an underwater world. World Trade Center and Vicinity
World Trade Center serves as both international exhibition and convention center. It operates as the access point for Sentosa and the Indonesian islands yet a few attractions are there such as Guiness Book of World Records which opens daily at 10.00 - 19.00; Singapore Maritime Showcase located on the Harbor Promenade, open daily at 10.00 - 18.30 except Mondays; and Alkaff Mansion constructed between 1910 and 1930 for a wealthy family who owned Hotel de L'Europe but was purchased by the Singapore Tourism Promotion Board in 1986. The Alkaff Mansion is currently opened as the most expensive Peranakan restaurant in Singapore.

Haw Par Villa Dragon World (Tiger Balm Gardens)


Haw Par Villa was built in 1935 by "Tiger Balm King" Haw Boon Haw as a residence for his own younger brother, Haw Boon Par who had helped him running the analgesic balm business. The villa was unavoidably ruined during the World War II, yet it was reconstructed by Haw Boon Haw and he himself declared it as a public property. Subsequently, it was acquired by the government and leased to Times Publishing. It was then reconstructed again in 1990 to be Haw Par Villa Dragon World with a modern style and new technologies. Today, Haw Par Villa Dragon World features various kinds of Chinese mythological themes and animated attractions, particularly the big dragon that is rated as a true highlight of this complex historical villa.

Jurong Bird Park


One of Singapore's grandest attractions, Jurong Bird Park is rated the biggest bird sets in Southeast Asia. The exploration should be taken at dawn as birds actually do their activities before the sun shines too strong at noon.

Jurong Crocodile Paradise
Sited adjacent to Jurong Bird Park, Jurong Crocodile Paradise features more than 3,000 crocodiles subdivided in a variety of landscaped settings. There are also underwater viewing areas and a breeding enclosure. The Jurong Crocodile Paradise opens daily from 09.00 - 18.00 while the crocodile shows features daily at 10.45 am, 11.45 am, 14.00, 15.00, and 16.00.

Tang Dynasty City
A great theme park where amazement and delight could be strongly felt as it was surrounded by a life size replica of the Great Wall of China and there are over 2,000 of the terra-cotta warriors statues discovered in China in 1920's. It is a very fascinating place that should not be missed at all if you would like to trace back to ancient era and feel like you were there really. Tang Dynasty City opens daily at 09.00 - 18.30.

Chinese and Japanese Gardens
Some say it is the most beautiful garden in Singapore. There are some incredibly beautiful bonsais in Chinese garden (Yu Hwa Yuan), as well as a fish pond and other several interesting sights such as arched bridges, a tea gallery, twin pagodas, rockeries, and classical Chinese architecture. You can also find Chinese herbs planted in the Herb Garden. And if you walk across the Bridge of Double Beauty, the Japanese Gardens will be discovered. The Japanese Gardens look simpler than the Chinese Gardens yet is rich in tranquility.

Singapore Science Center and Omni Theatre
Right across the Chinese Gardens stand two interesting places, especially for children's education, yet for some adults as well. Singapore Science Center opens for a variety of science educations stressing on human anatomy while Omni Theatre presents some films such as Space, The Hidden Universe and Africa, and the Serengeti.
